For a Great Experience – Here’s What You Need to Know
Cleaning Supplies
We bring all the cleaning supplies needed for your service.
Arrival Window
All booking slots include a 2-hour arrival window. For example, if you choose 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM, our team may arrive at any time within that window. If we’re running late, we will contact you by call or text.
Cleaning Time
Your first cleaning is quoted based on a home in normal condition. If your home requires special attention, we may need to extend time at an hourly rate or prioritize specific areas.
Late Cancellations
We reserve the right to refuse service for unsafe or unsanitary conditions including but not limited to: mold, hoarding, or abnormal buildup.
Note: All issues must be reported within 48 hours to qualify for our iQ Quality Clean Guarantee.
Terms of Use
1. Standard Cancellation Fee
iQ Home Care reserves the right to charge a $50 fee for cancellations after 5:00 PM the day prior to service. Please provide entry instructions if you won’t be home.
2. Cleaning Supplies / Equipment
iQ Home Care provides all products and most equipment. Your home must have running water and working electrical outlets. If not, the standard cancellation fee applies. Cleaners will not climb above the second step of a step stool. If you require use of specific products, please leave them out with clear instructions. We are not liable for damage caused by client-provided products.
3. Cleaning Guarantee
We offer a 48-hour satisfaction guarantee for full-service cleanings (initial, maintenance, or move-out). You must report issues within 48 hours to qualify. A re-clean will be offered. Discounts are considered only after a re-clean is completed.
4. Confirmation
Online booking does not guarantee your selected time. Confirmation occurs only after a phone call and confirmation email.
5. Price & Time Adjustments
If our pricing tool underestimates service cost, we may adjust pricing or reschedule. You may choose between prioritizing areas or extending service at our hourly rate.
6. Breakage
We handle your items with care, but accidents can happen. Notify us within 24 hours of any issue. Reimbursement up to $250 requires a receipt or estimate. Items over $250 may involve our insurance. Items with sentimental value should be disclosed before cleaning.
7. Theft
Do not leave out valuables. Suspected theft requires a police report before iQ Home Care can proceed. You are covered under our janitorial bond.
8. Direct Hiring of Our Technicians
Hiring our current or former staff within 2 years of employment incurs a $500 referral fee. Soliciting cleaners directly is a violation. Exchanging contact info qualifies as a breach.
9. Staff Safety
iQ Home Care may withdraw cleaners if the environment becomes unsafe. Standard cancellation fees apply.
10. Pets
We work around pets but reserve the right to withdraw if a pet poses safety concerns. Charges will reflect services rendered if a cleaner must leave early.
11. Right to Refuse Service
Our team may refuse service on arrival if conditions are unsafe or beyond the scope of regular service (e.g., large party cleanup).
12. Clutter
Please remove clutter. Cleaners will organize for up to 60 seconds per room. Excess clutter will be consolidated for cleaning around it.
13. Dishes
Excessive dishwashing may incur a surcharge. Please make a best effort to tidy dishes before arrival.
14. Large & Heavy Items
For safety reasons, cleaners may not lift or move heavy furniture or items.
15. Satisfaction Policy
We do not guarantee results for blinds, grout, chandeliers, or vaulted ceiling fans. We do not offer mold remediation and are not liable for mold-related risks.
16. Parking
If paid parking is the only option within 3 blocks, the parking cost may be added to your invoice.
17. Referral Agency Disclosure
iQ Home Care operates as a referral agency for independent cleaners and is not their employer. We provide scheduling and support services. Refer to your local employment authority for more info.
