Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated:
This policy explains how iQ Cleaning, the residential cleaning division of iQ Home Care, handles personal information for customers, website visitors and job applicants.
1.Who we are and how to reach us
iQ Cleaning is the residential cleaning division of iQ Home Care. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website and our services, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
If you have a question about this policy or about your information, contact our customer-support team by phone on 855-699-8283 or by email at cleaning@iqhome.care.
2.Information you give us
When you get a price, make a booking, or contact us, you may provide your name, email address, telephone number, the address where the service is to be performed, and details about the service you want.
If you contact customer support, we keep a record of that correspondence so that whoever picks it up next can see what has already been discussed.
3.Information about your home and your service
To carry out a cleaning we need to know things about the property — its size, the number of bathrooms, the kind of clean you want, and anything you tell us about pets, areas to avoid, items needing particular care, or products you would prefer we use.
You may also give us access information, such as how the team should enter the property or how to reach a building’s front desk. We use it to carry out the service you booked and keep it only as long as it is needed for that purpose.
4.Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, information is collected automatically by us and by analytics and advertising technologies we use. This can include your device and browser type, your approximate location derived from your IP address, the pages you view, how you arrived, and identifiers stored in cookies or similar technologies.
We use this to understand how the site is used, to measure whether our advertising reaches people it is useful to, and to keep the site working.
5.Payments
Payment for services booked online is processed by a third-party payment provider. Your card details are entered with that provider and are handled under its own security arrangements and privacy terms. We receive information needed to administer your booking, such as confirmation that a payment succeeded and limited details identifying the transaction.
6.Communications
We use the contact details you give us to send service-related messages: booking confirmations, reminders, updates on the day of your visit, and replies to enquiries. These are part of providing the service and are not marketing.
Where we send marketing messages, we do so in accordance with applicable law and you can opt out at any time using the mechanism in the message or by contacting customer support. Opting out of marketing does not stop service messages about a booking you have.
7.How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- provide quotes and carry out the services you book;
- schedule visits and communicate with you about them;
- take payment and keep records of transactions;
- respond to enquiries and resolve concerns about a service;
- operate, secure, maintain and improve our website and our operations;
- measure and improve our advertising and understand how people find us;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
9.Security
We take reasonable measures designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and we require our service providers to do the same. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10.How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy — including providing services, maintaining business and financial records, resolving disputes and meeting legal obligations — and then delete it or render it no longer identifying. Operational details that are only needed for a particular visit, such as access instructions, are kept for a shorter period than transaction records.
12.Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information — including the right to request access to it, to request that it be corrected or deleted, to request information about how it has been shared, to opt out of targeted advertising or of the sale or sharing of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.
To make a request, contact us on 855-699-8283 or at cleaning@iqhome.care. We will verify your request before acting on it, which may mean asking for information to confirm who you are. You may use an authorised agent where the law allows it.
13.Children’s privacy
Our services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
14.Job applicants and recruiting
If you apply to work with us, we collect the information you provide as part of your application — such as your name, contact details, work history and eligibility to work — together with any information provided by references or by background-check or recruiting providers acting on our behalf, where permitted by law.
We use applicant information to assess your application, to communicate with you about it, and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations. We keep it for as long as needed for those purposes. Applicant information is not used for marketing.
We ask you not to send sensitive identifiers — such as a Social Security number, bank or payment details, or identity documents — in an initial enquiry, and we do not request them by email. Where such information is genuinely required later in a hiring process, we will tell you why and collect it through an appropriate channel.
Applicant information is not published, and it is not displayed anywhere on our website.
15.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will take additional steps to bring them to your attention. Continuing to use our website or services after an update means the updated policy applies.
